Freaks and Geeks

By: Grainne Rhuad

All Hallows Eve brings out so very much in us. Sometimes we are tempted to think it is all play acting. I however believe that when we wear the mask, we are so very much more honest in how we behave. That piece, whether it be darker, lighter or more playful needs its playtime, otherwise it builds sometimes to devistating effects.

Do not be afraid of your darkness, do not be afraid of the difference in others. To that end I have ever been intrigued with those who evoke visceral responses from us. Make us think of things we would rather not. Challenge our beliefs. If we are able to get around our own misplaced pity, there is eversomuch we can learn...I think.

Anyway, my song saturday includes some of my favorite people this week, the Freaks and Geeks. I am of course interested in what your thoughts are.
